Beginning in Luxor, sail to Aswan and back again, taking in the highlights of the East and West Banks of the Nile. Elaborate temples make a spectacular backdrop to Nile River cruises and there is a wealth of excursions available as well as ample leisure time to visit some of the most impressive sights on Earth. During the Egypt cruise you can explore the Valley of the Kings, which possesses more than 60 royal tombs including that of Tutankhamun, the magnificent Colossi of Memnon and elaborate temples among which are Luxor, Hatshepsut, Edfu and Kom Ombo. There are also optional tours to one of Egypt’s most celebrated sites - the Pyramids.
Day 1 -
Fly to Luxor

Upon arrival at this wondrous city, take a coach transfer to the ship where you will stay overnight.

Day 2 -
Luxor to Edfu
|
Following breakfast on board the ship, visit the Hatshepsut Temple, Colossi of Memnon and the Valley of the Kings which lie on the West Bank of Luxor. As you admire the fabulous temples, tombs and antiquities, you will feel captivated by the sheer beauty of Egypt. Enjoy lunch before sailing through Esna Lock as Nile River cruises head for Edfu where you will spend the night.

Day 3 -
Edfu – Kom Ombo – Aswan
|
Admire Edfu’s majestic Temple of Horus which has been remarkably preserved and whose incredible inscriptions give an insight into ancient Egypt. Nile River cruises then sail through Kom Ombo to Aswan.

Day 4 -
Aswan
|
Start the day with a sightseeing trip to the High Dam and the Philae Temple which is dedicated to one of the ancient world’s most notable figures – the Goddess Isis. In the afternoon you can book an optional excursion or make the most of some free time by visiting the city’s highlights. During the evening there is a Sound and Light Show at the Philae Temple which can be booked at an additional cost.

Day 5 -
Explore Aswan
|
Spend this morning on Nile River cruises at your leisure or if you prefer, take a tour to Abu Simbel either by air or road to see the epic rock temples. In the afternoon, take a boat trip on a traditional felucca which sails between striking islands, the Botanical Gardens and the Agha Khan Mausoleum.

Day 6 -
Aswan – Kom Ombo - Edfu
|
Nile River cruises return to Kom Ombo where they dock to give you the opportunity to visit the symmetrical temple that was created for two different gods. Later in the day, the journey resumes as you voyage to Edfu. Enjoy dinner and stay overnight.

Day 7 -
Sail to Luxor
|
Upon return to Luxor, we will explore the East Bank visiting the stunning Luxor and Karnak temples. You can also book optional tours in the evening to really make the most of your time here.

Disembark Nile River Cruises
|
Savour your last breakfast on board the ship. Spend the morning enjoying optional tours or relax before transferring to the airport for your departure.
