Day 1 -
Arrive in Luxor

On arrival, you will transfer by coach to the ship where you spend the first night of your Nile cruise in Luxor.

Day 2 -
Sail to Edfu
|
After breakfast on board the ship, witness the incredible jewels of Luxor’s West Bank. During the Nile cruise from Luxor, admire the statuesque grace of the Colossi of Memnon, see the Hatshepsut Temple and walk through the Valley of the Kings – a remarkable site that holds approximately 63 tombs including the most famous of Tutankhamun. Owing to its sheer magnificence and beauty, the site has been deemed a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is one of the highlights of the Nile cruise with Luxor extension. In the afternoon we sail through the Esna Lock and continue to Edfu where the ship docks overnight.

Day 3 -
Edfu to Aswan

Today on the Nile cruise from Luxor, enjoy a tour of the Edfu Temple which displays artistic carvings that epitomise ancient Egypt and give an enchanting insight into life during these times. Later, we cruise through Kom Ombo to Aswan.

Day 4 -
Aswan
|
On Nile River cruises you will spend the following two days exploring Aswan, a bustling city that is most renowned for its High Dam which was built between 1960 and 1970. You will also visit the exquisite Philae Temple which was deconstructed after it was almost destroyed under water and then rebuilt on Agilika Island where it is safe on higher ground. A trip in the evening to the Sound and Light Show is strongly recommended during your Nile cruise from Luxor as it illuminates the temple in all its glory. Day 5 -
Sightseeing in Aswan

This lively city is overflowing with colourful markets, tombs, and temples and the world’s largest known obelisk can be found lying incomplete in the bedrock. In the morning of the Nile cruise with Luxor extension you can take an optional tour of Abu Simbel to see the enormous rock temples. The afternoon can be enjoyed sailing around the pretty islands, Botanical Gardens and the Aga Khan Mausoleum on a traditional felucca boat.

Day 6 -
Aswan – Kom Ombo – Edfu
|
The Nile cruise with Luxor extension sails to Kom Ombo today where you will see the mesmeric temple which was built for two gods. The architecture is fantastic and the rooms of the building are duplicated with the left side being devoted to Haroeris and the right to Sobek. Your voyage continues to Edfu where you will stay overnight.

Day 7 -
Sail to Luxor

Today you will have the chance to explore the East Bank of the Nile on the cruise to Luxor. Visit the Karnak and Luxor temples and book one of the supplementary tours available to really make the most of your time here.

Days 8 to 15 -
Transfer to your chosen Hotel in Luxor

The Nile cruise with Luxor extension docks in Luxor and you will be transferred by coach to a five star hotel where you will spend the next seven nights. You are free to spend your time here as you wish, making it as relaxing or eventful as you prefer. Luxor has been dubbed the world’s largest open-air museum due to the countless number of monuments and temples that adorn the landscape.
