Egypt : Nile Cruise with Hurghada Extension

A transfer takes you from Luxor airport to the ship where you can settle into your comfortable cabin and enjoy a cocktail from the bar to celebrate the beginning of your Nile cruise and Hurghada holiday.

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and admire the scenery as the ship makes its way along Luxor’s West Bank. Explore the sights of Hatshepsut Temple, the Colossi of Memnon and the legendary Valley of the Kings which is home to several tombs of the pharaohs, including those of Tutankhamun and Ramesses the Great – a fantastic start to your Nile cruise and Hurghada holiday.

As the ship makes its way to Edfu, relax on the sundeck and enjoy the views. Once in Edfu, disembark and explore the incredible Temple of Edfu, one of the best preserved historic buildings in Egypt. Inscriptions on the walls of the temple give away the secrets of the ancient civilisations. Your Nile cruise and Hurghada tour continues to Kom Ombo and then onto Aswan where we dock for the evening.

Famous for its dams, Aswan is home to some magnificent sights. We take a trip to see the High Dam which stands an impressive 111 metres high, followed by a tour of the Philae Temple on Agilika Island. The afternoon is free for you to explore Aswan or relax on board the ship and enjoy the outdoor swimming pool. You could also choose from one of our Nile cruise and Hurghada optional excursions.

Take advantage of more free time this morning by choosing one of our optional tours. Later in the day, board a traditional Egyptian sailing boat known as a felucca and enjoy a scenic cruise around the Nile’s islands. From the boat you will see the beautiful Botanical Gardens and the magnificent Agha Khan Mausoleum. Spend another night of the Nile cruise and Hurghada extension in Aswan.

The ship makes its way to Edfu today, giving you a chance to see the beautiful scenery yet again. Today on the Nile cruise and Hurghada tour we dock at Kom Ombo where you can visit the spectacular temple. Its unusual double design is split along the axis and the two halves of the temple mirror each other. We spend the night docked in Edfu.

Today we spend more time in fabulous Luxor. Making our way along the East Bank of the Nile this time, we pay visits to both the Luxor and Karnak temples, giving you the opportunity to delve into more of Egypt’s fascinating history. Tonight on the Nile cruise and Hurghada holiday you can spend one last night on board the ship.

Following a leisurely breakfast on board the ship, collect your things and transfer from the Nile cruise to Hurghada city by coach. Check into your luxury accommodation and step out to sample the city’s nightlife.

Hurghada is the city of the Red Sea and there are plenty of exciting things to see and do during your time here on the Nile cruise and Hurghada holiday. Explore the amazing underwater world of the Red Sea by scuba diving, snorkelling or even enjoy a trip in a submarine. Take an excursion into the desert for an authentic Bedouin experience or enjoy a boat trip to the stunning Giftun Island. After breakfast on the final day of your Hurghada extension, travel back to Luxor airport by coach where you will board your return flight.
